Zom-B-Q Smokeout

A Halloween themed BBQ Competition at Buckelew Farm
Saturday, October 21st, 2017
$30.00 in advance
$35.00 at the door
Kids under 5 are FREE

What happens when you mix scary monsters and smoked meat? Only the most fun and frightening barbecue competition ever created! The terrifying team at Buckelew Farm who've brought you the popular Pumpkin Festival and the hair-raising "Terror In the Corn" haunted cornfield are back with their most twisted and tasty event yet - the Zom-B-Q Smokeout.
We’ve combined the sizzle and smoke from Southern Arizona’s top pit masters with the screams and scares of Halloween to bring you the Zom-B-Q Smokeout at Buckelew Farm, the first ever horror-themed barbecue contest. The area’s premiere pit masters will compete at 5pm on Saturday, October 21 to see who’s barbecue dish is the most delicious and most devilish - with the winner decided by you, the fans!
Creativity will be tested and culinary skills will be pushed to the limit as Tucson’s best barbecuers battle for the one-of-a-kind Zom-B-Q Trophy awarded to the scariest, most savory BBQ pork dish plus a $100 bonus prize for the most imaginative dessert using fresh Buckelew Farm pumpkins. Judging will take place at 8pm and be based on taste, tenderness and terror, with the ultimate prize awarded to the chef who best combines mouthwatering flavor with mind-bending freakiness in this unique Halloween themed cook-off that’s sure to satisfy both the living and the undead.
An evil BBQ battle isn’t complete without beer, and we’ll have plenty on hand provided by our friends at Budweiser. You’ll also enjoy access to the Buckelew Farm Pumpkin Festival, the entertaining KidZone and more (Pumpkin Patch and KidZone close at 6pm on this date, so come early)! Tickets are $30 per person in advance and $35 day of event (Kids under 5 are free).  Each ticket gets you a sample of BBQ from each vendor, one (1) beer, wine or soda of your choice, an entry into prize drawings, a vote for “Peoples' Choice” and some extra surprises. Tickets for this haunted happening are on sale now HERE. This will be the all-time BBQ apocalypse you won’t want to miss - so be there…if you dare!
